From January 28 to 30, 2026, NextMove hosted a ten-member delegation from its partner cluster RAI Automotive Industry NL, which traveled to France to discover the latest advances in hydrogen mobility in the Île-de-France region. The program highlighted a sector that has moved beyond the experimental stage: hydrogen trucks, fleet solutions, and high-pressure storage technologies are rapidly reaching maturity, while new partnerships and practical insights are emerging for Dutch automotive professionals.
During the trade show, the delegation met with key stakeholders, including the Île-de-France Region, the Normandy Region, France Hydrogène and entities from NextMove's network like EODev, Gen-Hy and Elogen, to discuss market developments and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The day concluded with a delegation dinner, which gave the group an opportunity to continue their discussions, build relationships, and reflect on their impressions of the first day.
The second day was dedicated to hydrogen mobility in the context of practical implementation, featuring visits to organizations developing large-scale solutions for commercial users.
At Hyliko, the delegation witnessed the contribution of hydrogen to zero-emission heavy-duty transport. Hyliko’s model combines the leasing and maintenance of hydrogen trucks, access to green and low-carbon hydrogen refueling stations, and supporting digital tools—a service-oriented approach designed to accelerate clean freight transport at scale.

The delegation then visited Hysetco in Saint-Denis, a pioneer in hydrogen mobility in the Paris region. Hysetco offers an all-inclusive package for businesses: the lease of a Toyota Mirai with hydrogen, insurance, and workshop assistance for repairs and maintenance. Its refueling stations play a central role in supplying commercial fleets such as taxis and light commercial vehicles. The delegation was particularly impressed by Hysetco’s demonstration that the operation and maintenance of a hydrogen fleet can be commercially viable when the ecosystem and service model are designed around the fleet’s usage.

The day concluded with a networking reception, which gave the delegation the opportunity to meet other members of the NextMove ecosystem, including representatives from the Renault Group, Stellantis, Haïku, and the Autonomous Racing ECE student team, thereby creating a space for sharing experiences and strengthening cross-border ties.
The mission concluded with a visit to the OPmobility plant in Lachelle, one of Europe’s largest production sites for high-pressure hydrogen tanks used in cars, trucks, buses, and even trains. This visit demonstrated how European industrial capacity is growing to support hydrogen mobility across various transportation sectors.

If you’re a national/international network or institutional actor, and you would like to propose a visit of the French mobility ecosystem to your members, don’t hesitate to contact the NextMove team to plan this together!
