Acceptability of autonomous vehicles - The new BRAVE project deliverables are online

August 3, 2023

BRAVE is a European Research and Innovation project whose aim is to promote the acceptance of highly automated vehicles, by developing innovative Human-Machine Interfaces. The subject is approached from both a technological and a societal point of view, with the user taken into account from the earliest stages of the approach and throughout the entire process. Mov'eo is one of the partners in this project, which began in June 2017 and is funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 program. After more than 3 years of work, the project will end in February 2021. In this final stretch, many results are already available. Main deliverables

The content of most of the project's deliverables is public. They can be found in full on the project website ➡ brave-project.eu

Among the deliverables, three documents deal directly with the acceptability of autonomous vehicles:

An extensive literature review A summary of the survey of industry experts and stakeholders A summary of the survey of a sample population

There are also several deliverables on vehicle-driver interactions and driver monitoring, prediction of the intentions of vulnerable road users and vehicles in the immediate environment of the automated vehicle, as well as reports on tests carried out on simulators, on circuits and in real-life conditions, and the associated user feedback.   Mov'eo in the project Mov'eo is involved in the project's consortium, and is responsible for :

Communication and dissemination of results Liaising with the Automotive and Mobility ecosystem, in particular manufacturers, to promote the transfer of results to industry. Management of the project's Advisory Board and formulation of recommendations for research areas.
