A Dutch delegation was organized and hosted for another edition from January 29 to 31, 2024, once again reflecting the strong partnership between NextMove and the cluster RAI Automotive Industry NL. The enriching three-day study tour focused on hydrogen and took place in the Paris region.
During the program, member organizations of the RAI network were able to take part in site visits, events and discussions designed to enable participants to discover the French hydrogen ecosystem, and to forge links with members of the NextMove network to identify potential areas for collaboration.
The program began with two days during which participants were able to meet and visit some of the pioneers of the French hydrogen landscape :
HYVIA, Renault and PLUG's joint venture and leader in low-carbon mobility, presented turnkey solutions for hydrogen mobility, as well as cutting-edge presentations on fuel cell engines and innovative electrolysers for the production of green hydrogen.
On the second day, the group was welcomed at the IFP Energies Nouvelles site. The research center is a major player in research and training in the fields of energy, transport and the environment. A presentation was given of the innovative work on the H2 internal combustion engine, fuel cells and practical experimental activities at the site.
Finally, the last meeting of the day took place at the headquarters of TotalEnergies, in La Défense, where participants had the opportunity to have a full exploration of the vast research and education activities in the fields of energy, transport and the environment, with a focus on hydrogen-related industrial and distribution efforts.
The program ended with a final day at the Hyvolution Paris show, the meeting place for hydrogen players in France and Europe.
During the morning, the delegation took part in a workshop presented by Jean-Luc Brossard, representing the multiple entities he is involved in (Stellantis, CCFA, NextMove, PFA). The French hydrogen landscape was thus presented in a more comprehensive way, including insights into the IPCEI hydrogen initiative.
Finally, during organized visits to the Forvia and Plastic Omnium stands, participants were also able to find out more about the activities of these major players, as well as talk to their representatives.
Enriching exchanges and significant potential for collaboration, punctuated by the conviviality and curiosity of each participant, but also with the desire to share the experiences of the various participating organizations.
If you’re a national/international network or institutional actor, and you would like to propose a visit of the French mobility ecosystem to your members, don’t hesitate to contact the NextMove team to plan this together!
