From May 13 to 15, NextMove had the pleasure of welcoming a Finnish delegation bringing together a variety of stakeholders in the intelligent, connected and electric mobility field. A successful first collaboration with the partner Tampere Automotive cluster and Business Tampere, which allowed to identify multiple synergies between the two regional ecosystems, to exchange on topics of common interest and to generate promising cooperation opportunities.
Among the group coming to meet the Paris Region ecosystem wereseveral SMEs, ETIs, and a research center of European scope. These 3 days were an opportunity for them to take part in multiple visits to some of the most innovative sites in the Paris region, to introduce their solutions to key stakeholders in the industry and to take part in privileged exchange moments.
To get the program off to a good start, the Finnish participants were welcomed to the R&D site of Faurecia Interiors in Méru, dedicated to the testing and design of center consoles and instrument panels. The program included a tour of the Techcenter as well as the pilot plant, where the technologies and functionalities of tomorrow's interiors are developed and integrated.
The second day was dedicated to discovering the Mobility Tech Center and BRAIN division of Valeo, specializing in comfort and driving assistance systems as well as an overview of Valeo's powertrain activities and projects. After a presentation of the branch's strategic orientations, a visit to the garage offered a rich panorama of the ADAS systems developed on this site: LiDAR scanner, automatic parking assistance, automated driving - with several demontrations to illustrate the technologies used (sensors, radars, cameras...). A visit to the CarLab, the site's main innovation facilitator, rounded off the tour.
In order to facilitate Franco-Finnish connections, a pitch session was held in the afternoon. Organized in the offices of the independent AI laboratory SpirOps, this event enabled Finnish companies to present their activities and solutions to the French members of the NextMove network.
To close the day, discussions continued over a networking cocktail, offering the chance to explore partnership and cooperation opportunities!
The 3-day program ended at the Orange Gardens ecocampus, where participants discovered an environment entirely dedicated to 5G exploration and experimentation. A privileged moment to learn more about the advanced technologies of tomorrow's uses, to share the numerous connected mobility projects of the 5G Lab, and to consider collaborations!
If you’re a national/international network or institutional actor, and you would like to propose a visit of the French mobility ecosystem to your members, don’t hesitate to contact the NextMove team to plan this together!
