Following the first two missions to the USA and Canada, support for the internationalization of our members continues with a further business mission to the United Arab Emirates. A delegation of 9 European companies took part in the trip, which focused on autonomous and connected mobility, and benefited from personalized presentations and meetings, as part of the European INTonomous project coordinated by NextMove..

The European project INTonomous, financed by the COSME program and bringing together 6 European clusters, aims to create strategic European value chains bringing together innovative SMEs in the field of autonomous and connected vehicles, and to promote them outside Europe. The project is particularly aimed at the USA, Canada and the United Arab Emirates, and offers SMEs a tailor-made mission for each of these target countries.

From March 14 to 18, thanks to the organization and local knowledge of Salveo, the 9 participating European companies, together with representatives of the INTonomous consortium, were able to discover this market with its high potential for innovation. The 4-day program aimed to meet technological and commercial partners, and to facilitate this through presentations and exchanges with local experts in autonomous and connected mobility, a subject at the heart of the Emirates' strategy.

9 European start-ups and SMEs from France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Finland took part in the program: the delegation was made up of very varied and complementary profiles, a factor which also enabled very interesting discussions within the group itself, with the aim of creating strong strategic European value chains.

The mission began with a visit to Expo 2020 under the motto "Connecting Minds, Building the Future", with a particular focus on the subjects of Mobility, Opportunity and Sustainability, the common thread running through both the thematic Pavilions and the various countries. The second day began with a trip to Abu Dhabi for a visit to the Masdar site, a world leader in renewable energies and sustainable urban development, where participants were able to discover both autonomous shuttles and a mini bus.

The program continued on Wednesday with a visit to the site of NAFFCO, a provider of innovative solutions to protect people, the environment and property. In the afternoon, participants had the honor of meeting His Excellency Abdullah Al Marzouqi and his team from the Integrated Transport Center, the entity responsible for operating public transport and managing issues related to the mobility sector. The evening concluded with participation in an event on the theme of autonomous mobility, organized by in5, one of Dubai's major gas pedals. On the last day of the mission, we were hosted by Daman Investments, one of the Emirates' leading investment companies, where companies were able to pitch their solutions. The program concluded with a pitching session in front of representatives from the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and a visit to the Dubai Future Foundation laboratory.
