Third edition of the European Startup Prize for mobility

ter the success of the first 2 editions and +900 startup candidates from 32 countries, the objective remains to help start-ups conquer the (sustainable) mobility market and make Europe their playground. The best startups will benefit from unprecedented visibility, tailor-made mentoring and a personalized tour in European & Israeli tech capitals to meet potential customers, investors, accelerators and local partners.

This leading public-private initiative, first launched in 2018 by Karima Delli, Chairwoman of the European Parliament's Committee on Transport and Tourism, and co-founded by Via ID and the Boston Consulting Group, invites start-ups corresponding to one of the following categories to send their application before 30 April 2020 : 

  • Micro mobility
  • Shared mobility
  • Clean energy and e-mobility
  • Mobility platforms and services
  • Connected vehicles and data
  • Autonomous vehicles and systems
  • Intelligent infrastructure and parking facilities
  • Long-distance and last-mile logistics
  • Air mobility, air traffic management and unmanned aircraft

Participation in the European Startup Prize for mobility is free of charge and open to all mobility startups, established in the European Union as well as in countries participating in the European Horizon 2020 programme, and wishing to develop at European level. 

Each application will be examined on the basis of the following criteria :

  • Business Model : Innovation, Market, Implementation, Management
  • CSR : Environmental and climate impact, social and territorial inclusion
  • Reach at the European level

The ten winning startups will eventually benefit from an extensive six-month programme offered by the European Startup Prize for mobility, consisting of a two-month coaching programme coordinated by BCG and including coaching from Via ID, as well as a tour of European cities during major events in the mobility sector (destinations are subject to change) :

  • Vivatech, 11-13 June (Paris)
  • Innotrans, 22-25 September (Berlin)
  • Smart mobility summit, October (Tel-Aviv)
  • Slush, 19-20 November, (Helsinki)
