From November 3rd to 7th, 2025, a delegation from the United States, and more specifically from the state of Ohio will be hosted by NextMove. This mission is organized in collaboration with our partner JobsOhio, sponsor of the mission, and with the Ohio French-American Chamber of Commerce.
During this 5-day stay, the participants will have the opportunity to discover and meet with the major composites stakeholders in both Île-de-France and Normandy regions, visit their facilities, discuss about strategies, and exchange with them to bring up possible collaborations or business interests.
Morning: Arrival of participants
Afternoon: Visit of Nimrod Composites (TBC), Boissy-Saint-Léger : a manufacturer specializing in the design and production of parts and subassemblies in composite materials. Nimrod provides major customers in the aerospace, automotive, defense and industrial sectors, mastering the latest manufacturing technologies for composite elements (Wet draping, Autoclave polymerization, Infusion, Low pressure injection (RTM), 3D interlock braiding...)
Evening: Welcome dinner in Paris
Morning: Visit of LOMC Laboratory, Le Havre : specializing in the study of Complex environments (composite environments, porous environments, construction, and extreme physical environments) and Waves (ultrasound, radiation, swell and spatiotemporal patterns). Its activities in the composites field mainly focus on the use and characterization of organic matrix composites, particularly bio-sourced materials, applying fluid mechanics and materials science expertise. The LOMC is coordinated by Le Havre Normandy University and employs over 100 scientists.
Afternoon: Visit of EcoTechnilin, Valliquerville : with 20 years of existence Eco-Technilin is the European leader in the technical use of natural fibers. Woven, non-woven and unidirectional, dry or impregnated, thermoplastic or thermosetting, petro-hard or biosourced polymers, the company's composite products find applications in a diversity of sectors (automotive, aerospace, rail, marine, building, filtration and even domestic use). Thanks to the use of natural fibers, EcoTechnilin's products allows environmental footprint reduction by being lightweight, powerful and affordable, by lowering energy consumption, and eradicating the use of non-revaluable products.
Evening: Free night
Morning: Visit of CETIM, Senlis : with over 60 years of experience, the French Technical Center for Mechanical Industries is a research center that aims to support companies' innovation and competitivity providing multidiscplinary R&D services. The Senlis site features state-of-the-art equipment and experienced personnel for projects in the automotive, aeronautics, energy sectors, among others. The CETIM also operates the Composite Technocampus, in Nantes, a platform gathering multiple laboratories and industrial companies, as well as characterization, production and control facilities.
